Mamatoto Village Institute offers training and professional development to potential, new, and experienced Doulas and Birthworkers. We support the Birthworker community in developing new skills, learning from one other, and growing with every family they serve.

CERTIFIED COMMUNITY BIRTHWORKER, BIRTH DOULA & MIDWIFERY PREP. TRAINING
MVI provides a unique opportunity for Women of Color interested in becoming Birth Workers to receive training, education, and mentorship; experience birth in all settings; teach childbirth education classes to expectant and new families, and facilitate breastfeeding counseling.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
MVI sponsors workshops that focus on essential maternity care, pregnancy and postpartum educational development for clinical and non-clinical maternal health providers.

SKILLS WORKSHOPS
MVI offers a series of hands-on workshops to introduce, develop, and enhance practical skills that encourage Birthworkers and potential Midwifery students to support women and families with confidence.
